Chocolate Chip Banana Loaf

Comments 2 Standard

bananaloadI have been looking for a really easy cake or bread recipe that O could be really hands on with when I came across this recipe on Six Sisters for Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. The recipe only calls for 4 ingredients which for me is already a winner – I don’t have the patience for recipes that require lots of measuring and numerous ingredients, well not when I am cooking with children! This 4-ingredient Banana Bread was perfect for us and tasted delicious!

1 packet of yellow cake mix (We used Betty Crocker)

3-4 overripe bananas

2 eggs

1 cup of chocolate Chips

What we did:

I peeled the bananas and placed them into a bowl. Then I showed O how to mash them using a fork.

Whilst O was mashing the bananas I measured out the chocolate chips and broke the eggs into a small bowl.

O then added all the other ingredients (yellow cake mix, eggs, chocolate chips) into the bowl with his bananas and began mixing using a spoon.

I sprayed our loaf tin with some non-stick spray and then poured in the mixture.

We then baked our loaf at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
