Homemade Cheesy Biscuits

Comments 5 Standard

cheesy biscuitsOver the past couple of months I have been trying to include a bit of variety in Oscar’s lunchbox, especially for the main ‘dish’ instead of giving him the usual, albeit one of his favourites; a cheese spread sandwich! Lately he has been enjoying chicken nuggets/bites, roasted chickpeas, homemade cereal bars, chocolate rolls, and of course some leftover food such as Pizza and Lebanese. Yesterday we had a bit of a baking fest whilst little M was sleeping, making some fruit muffins for Millie and the most simple yet delicious Cheesy Biscuits! Both O and myself love cheesy food so these were just up our street. Also, with them being so ridiculously simple to make they have quickly become a favourite of mine and I can see them featuring in Oscar’s lunchbox regularly from now on! They would also be perfect to quickly get together and pop in the oven before going out, as they are a great toddler (or adult!) snack for on the go, and much better than store bought stuff!

Ingredients:

1 cup grated cheddar cheese

1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup butter, softened

1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls and place onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
