For the past few weeks Millie has often been having some kind of fruit smoothie for breakfast, along with porridge they have quickly become her favourite breakfast so far, and probably one of her favourite foods she has tried to date! I am loving the fact that she gets a good healthy start to the day and that the smoothies are so easy make. It’s just a shame I can’t get Oscar to have one too! This smoothie is probably her favourite one so far, and as it makes 2 baby portions she often finishes the rest of the smoothie off later in the day, usually after her dinner.
Although this is a baby recipe (hence the no use of fresh milk), it can be changed to a toddler-friendly smoothie or even adult smoothie by changing the type of milk to suit you. I fed Millie the smoothie using a spoon, however a slightly older baby or child can have this from a cup or beaker.
3/4 of a banana
100ml breast or formula milk
- Peel and chop up banana. Peel peach and chop.
- Add the milk, peach and banana to a blender and blend until smooth.
*Makes 2 portions.
